The event is designed to be a showcase of innovation to aid buyers and suppliers of marine equipment to network in one place, saving on travel costs and time out of the office.
In January 2012 seventeen buyers, representing a mixture of shipyards and distributors, from as far afield as Dubai, France, Germany, Finland and Italy attended the UKTI Meet the Buyer, meeting 60 UK supplier companies. In all there were 425 pre arranged meetings.

The cost for attending the event is £125 ex vat for BMF members and £165 ex vat for non members. For this price Suppliers can meet with as many Buyers as they wish as long as the schedule allows and meetings are allocated on a first come, first served basis. The event is ONLY open to UK marine equipment and service companies.
